Deputy President William Ruto was moved to tears during a combined prayer session with religious leaders on Tuesday, August 2, at his official house in Karen, Nairobi.
In a shot taken at the prayer event, DP Ruto could be seen shedding tears with his eyes tightly closed. At one point, he hides his face in his palms while other worshippers are heard singing a worship song.
Through his Twitter handle account, Ruto however shared a message of hope, believing that he will emerge the victor in the August 9 Election.
“And the God of all grace, who called you to his eternal glory in Christ, after you have suffered a little while, will himself restore you and make you strong, firm, and steadfast,” Ruto stated on his Twitter handle account.

The prayer service, which was led by Bishop Mark Kariuki of Deliverance Church International, was also attended by other leaders of the Kenya Kwanza Alliance.
DP Ruto’s crying moments in his political life have been raising emotions in his firm supporters.
After winning the 2017 election under the Uhuru-Ruto narrative, Ruto cried on stage showing disbelief at how they made it amid the strong battle between them and NASA coalition leaders.
