Zari revealed that her husband Shakib got pretty mad when he found out that Bongo superstar Diamond Pltanumz, her ex, would be showing up at their daughter Tiffah’s birthday party unannounced.
According to Zari, Shakib’s reaction stems from his insecurities and claims she had no clue Diamond was planning to surprise their daughter on her birthday by showing up.
Furthermore, being the Boss Lady she is, Zari advised her husband to go work on his insecurities or else…
“Go fix yourself, the problem is not with me. Go fix your insecurities, go fix your insecurities bro,” she blasted her husband (you know it’s serious when she calls you bro)
Zari says she was so frustrated to the extent that she was compelled to go live and talk about Shakib’s reaction to Diamond surprising his daughter on her birthday and reassure (more like warn) Shakib.
“My husband is very insecure and that is causing a lot of problems, I have to explain. A boss lady and I have to do a whole live just to prove a point to my husband,” she said on a live video.
Zari then reminded Shakib of her SheEO status — a successful (monied), independent woman — who chose to be with Shakib, and he needed to deal with it.

“No matter what you say ‘oh he’s broke, he’s not good enough’ I chose him and I don’t care and he has to put me through this? My guy, you better change, you better recognize who I am.”
Zari made it very clear that Shakib’s worries about her ex, Diamond, were baseless because there was no competition between them.
“And my husband is out here thinking ‘oh she’s with the baby daddy.’ You think my baby daddy is your competition? My baby daddy is not your competition.”
Shakib and his wife have had some issues in the past about her relationship with her child’s father.
He accused Zari of giving her baby daddy access code to the house but Zari insists Diamond planned the whole surprise for his daughter behind her back, with the house help.
“My husband started tripping saying I gave my baby daddy passcode to our house. Diamond communicates with the house help because he complained I don’t talk to him when my husband is around .For easy communication I gave him the housemaid’s number who gave him the passcode but I did not know he would show up.” Zari stressed
Zari mentioned that she didn’t know about the visit so she didn’t tell her husband about it beforehand.
“Diamond Platnumz didn’t tell me he’s coming to South Africa. He communicates with one of the nannies that gave him access to the house because he complained I rarerly receive his calls when my husband is around.” Zari explained
Shakib felt as if he was being played and that Zari knew Diamond was coming but kept him in the dark.
Diamond and Zari have two children together and have been co-parenting for six years now after their break up in 2018.
