Obinna and Kimani’s Father take Kimani Mbugua to Rehab

Oga Obinna, an influential YouTuber who once worked for Kiss 100 as a radio presenter, recently organized with Kimani Mbugua’s parents to take him (Kimani) to Mathare Hospital for treatment.

Mathare is a rehabilitation facility known for the treatment of mental disorders. The journalist Kimani, who recently came back into the limelight with outbursts on social media suffers from Bipolar disorder.

Speaking to Obinna in an interview with Obinna TV, Kimani’s father said Kimani had been doing well until February 2020 when he was spiked by his lady friends at a party he hosted in celebration of his birthday. The father said he found out from Kimani’s sister who had gone through his phone.

He added that the sister found a video clip of a white powdery substance being poured into his cup. The father said that after that spiking incident, Kimani’s mental health problems began. That was the time he reported to his father that he had not slept for four days. His girlfriend called his father the same day to say that Kimani couldn’t stop talking.

The next day, Kimani was admitted to Avenue Hospital. Furthermore, when his father went to see him he called him by his name Mbugua. He has also had subsequent admissions at Chiromo and Bustani hospitals.
