The hip-hop industry is full of run-ins with the police since back in the day with rappers such as Tupac, Snoop Dogg and Juicy J being locked up for different crimes such as sexual assault, drug possession and tax evasion respectively.

During the pandemic, the movement, Black Lives Matter highlighted that black men were being targeted by white policemen and stereotyped as criminals.
Black rappers highlight this in their music and some even prove the stereotype true by getting involved in criminal activities and rapping about it in their music. Currently, some rappers are facing legal charges and are in prison.
Known for his hit song, Murder on my mind, the young rapper has had several run-ins with the authorities but his most recent is what got him into big trouble.
His trial began on 12 June and he faces life imprisonment or even death penalty. He was arrested on 13 February 2019 on murder charges along with YNW Bortlen for allegedly killing two of his friends, YNW Sakchaser and YNW Juvy and setting up the scene to appear as a drive-by shooting.

Young Thug.
Currently, the Atlanta-based rapper is in jail as his case still unfolds. Jeffery Lamar Williams is known to dominate the trap scene.
Young Thug and a fellow rapper Gunna were two of the many others associated with YSL records who have been charged with RICO indictment.
After a search of his house, the rapper was also charged with felonies for being in possession of illegal firearms and drugs.
Casanova.
The rapper whose real name is Caswell Senior is currently in jail right now relating to intent to sell marijuana. He is also facing RICO charges in connection with the Untouchable Gorilla Stone Nation.

This is not his first time in jail. He was once serving his sentence at Rikers Island where he met ASAP Rocky, who was serving two weeks and got to teach him on prison etiquette to prevent a prison fight.
