On Wednesday two Kenyan football fans won tickets to watch the UEFA Champions League final at Ataturk Olympic Stadium on June 10. The final showdown will see the English Premier League Champions face Italian giants Inter Milan. Manchester City has never won a Champions League trophy while Inter Milan lifted the trophy in 2010 under Jose Mourinho.

Raymond Maranga and Jason Jose will attend the final after winning tickets courtesy of the partnership between MasterCard and Vivo Energy Kenya. The duo will enjoy an all-expense paid trip, three days of accommodation and Category A tickets.
”I’m happy to have bagged this ticket and I will now travel with my family who are Manchester City supporters. This is a dream come true, I can’t wait to watch Manchester City’s Kevin De Bruyne playing,” said Maranga who hails from Kisii county.
Vivo Marketing Manager Mark Senteu said that over 30,000 entries were received for the promotion. The participants were required to fuel their vehicles with a Cashless MasterCard to get an entry into the promotion. The process was open and an automatic ruffle is what determined the winners.
The duo were feted in an event at Shell petrol station Hurlingham graced by Vivo Energy Kenya MD Peter Murungu and Shehryar Ali, the Country Manager at MasterCard.
Jason who is a Businessman in Nairobi said, “I have travelled a lot but I have never been to Turkey. It’s going to be a nice experience for the person who likes travelling like me.”
Murungi hailed the partnership between MasterCard and Vivo saying they will engage in more activities that give football fans a chance to attend high-octane matches.
“We extend our congratulations to our winners, and we are delighted to offer the opportunity for you to watch the Champions League final,” said Shehryar Ali.
