Mr Sylvain H Laine, a teacher from Paris, has set a new world record for the most tattooed teacher. The 34-year-old who teaches art at a primary school now has a total of 99.9% of his body covered in tattoos.
When Sylvain moved to London in 2012 to teach at Dulwich College, he was dressed in suits and ties and experiencing a personal crisis, unsure of what to do with his life.
Sylvain comletely covered his body in three and a half years, finishing his first layer in Paris. He is currently doing his second layer of tattoos and plans to do a third and fourth.

Sylvain accepts that when he is 80 or 90 years old, he will be completely black, having covered himself with darker tones. As a result, he considers tattoos to be limitless.
He said that his tattoos have never interfered with his job. He has been teaching children for 14 years and currently has 29 students ranging in age from seven to eleven.
Despite his outstanding appearance, the children are unconcerned, caring more about the fact that he is a young male teacher in France than his tattoos.

His father and sister were supportive of his decision. His mother was initially apprehensive, but after viewing it as a career, she became supportive.
Sylvain is not subjected to hate on the streets or on social media. The strangest aspect for him is that through online dating, women assume that because of his tattoos, he is dangerous and criminal, and they actively strive to entice him.

He regularly receives many positive remarks such as “I’d like to touch it so much, it’s beautiful,” “You’re super-hot,” and “I need you.”
He also advises people not to make a rush decision when they want to get a tattoo to wait a bit and know it is the proper choice for them, without it interfering with their job or professional life. He has however never regretted a tattoo.
