So much is happening in April, and we are barely half way in. Kenyans on Twitter, (KOT) want Jesus of Tongaren crucified, the economy continues to burn alive, and the rains have not spared us either. However, something we can all definitely look forward to are big movies and series that are premiering this April. They are the perfect way to let loose on languorous days.

All Lewis Capaldi fanatics, here is a chance to interact with your idol on a personal level. The ‘someone you loved’ hitmaker has followed in the footsteps of some of his fellow artists by featuring in a documentary. The documentary digs deep into Capaldi’s life, from humble beginnings to attaining global success and how he is trying to balance it all out. Fortunately for you, this documentary already premiered on Netflix on April 5, so get right to it!
- Cocomelon season 8 (Netflix)
Now before you punch me for hyping you up about great shows only to say Cocomelon, think about your kids. Premiering on April 10, this new season caters to all the needs of your kids, especially toddlers. It involves a fun way of learning that goes hand-in-hand with familiar tunes for your kids. You will say goodbye to chaos and hello to peace in no time.

- Obsession
If you like flirting with drama and suspense, then this should do right by you. This limited series on Netflix features a respected London surgeon who gets tangled up with his son’s fiancée. The chaotic web turns into an infatuation that threaten to change their lives forever. This series premiers on Thursday, April 13.
- Seven kings must die
If you keep up with the movie,’ The Last Kingdom’, then this is for you. Seven kings must die is a sequel to the series. It features one of the main characters, Uhtred of Bebbanburg and his comrades who go on an adventure across a fractured kingdom in hopes of uniting England after the death of a king. This sequel is on Netflix, set to premiere on April 14.

- Quasi (Hulu)
Remember that animation that featured Quasimodo, a hunchback who lived in seclusion? Right. An all too similar tale is told in a new movie dubbed ‘Quasi’. It features a hapless hunchback who aches for love but is caught up in a feud between the Pope and the king of France, who each assign the hunchback a task to kill the other. This one premieres on April 20.
