Eric Omondi stopped on his way to State House with a cart full of cartons holding the resume of thousands of unemployed Kenyans.
Eric was bundled into a police vehicle while pulling the cart along Uhuru Highway, according to videos and pictures on social media.
The comedian was carrying out his pledge to march to State House and hand over the CVs of unemployed Kenyans to President William Ruto and his Deputy Rigathi Gachagua. Omondi had requested CVs from Kenyans, offering to be their voice and advocate for their rights.

He stated that he was prepared to fight for the rights of jobless Kenyans, even if it meant dying. He expressed his opinion that the President was unaware of the hardships that Kenyans were experiencing.
“If my life will be the reason the voice of the voiceless was heard so be it. I am saying this because from now we are not stopping,” said Eric.
Eric had been arrested several times before for battling for Kenyans’ rights. He was arrested on March 1st, 2023 while preparing to give free Unga to Nairobians struggling to place food on their tables. Eric had asked well-wishers to contribute Unga to his cause.

Eric’s concern for the plight of Kenyans without jobs was evident, and he warned that if the government did not act quickly, the people would be forced to take action to free themselves from poverty and slavery. He thought it was God’s will for humanity to be free of poverty and suffering.
