The 65th Grammy Awards wrapped up on Sunday with Beyoncé groundbreaking the history of Grammy, setting a record but still going minus one elusive trophy.
Queen B was once again passed over for the Album of the Year, which she’s been nominated four times.
The Grammy’s most awarded artist, first lost to Taylor Swift in 2010, Beck in 2015 and Adele in 2017 for Album of the Year. Yet this year Beyoncé watch as Harry Styles snatched the grand prize from her clutches with his ‘Harry’s House’.
She was also passed over for Song of the Year, that one was a bit of a shocker, going to Bonnie Raitt. The legendary 73-year-old musical artist was in the running with serious big-name competition, so congratulations on her win for ‘Just like that’.
However, she wasn’t the only artist to get passed over at the 65th Grammy Awards which returned to Los Angeles since 2020.
Lizzo on the other hand, praised Beyoncé during her acceptance speech, crediting the Grammy trailblazer to have changed her life when she skipped fifth grade to go see her concert.
A recognition not on the formal list for the night, “Beyoncé, you clearly are the artist of our lives.” Lizzo noted.
Out of the nine nominations, Beyoncé only managed to take four home, making her the artist with the most gramophone trophies to her name in the history of the Grammys.
Another surprise upset for the night was Muni Long for Best R&B Performance with ‘Hrs & Hrs’ denying Queen Bey a potential fifth win for the night.
An undignified loss by Chris Brown
Not everyone was as dignified as the diva who has yet to claim a Grammy Album of the Year nor the Queen of Hip-Hop who one would think would’ve been a shoo-in.

When Robert Glasper was announced as the winner for Best R&B Album for his album ‘Black Radio III’ it got an off-the-cuff reaction from Chris Brown on Instagram.
The 33-year-old rapper, who wasn’t in attendance at the 65th Grammy Awards ceremony, posted a screenshot captioned with “BRO WHO THE F–K IS THIS?” of his Google search for the Houston artist whose work “bridges several different musical and artistic genres.”
Brown has since erased his posts expressing his disbelief at losing.
