The University of Eldoret has listed a dress code for its student, according to an internal document dated January 19, 2023.
“It has come to our attention that some students are not observing the university dress code as contained in the Rules and Regulations Governing the conduct and Discipline of students. All students are expected to dress in simple, decent, modest, and appropriate attire that facilitate an atmosphere conducive for studies.” Read’s the Memo

The University has advised female students from wearing miniskirts, skin-tight pants, torn, shredded, or ragged jeans, tumbo cuts, bum shorts, and transparent gowns that disclose the body or inner garments.
Indecent dress for men is defined by the public institution as drooping pants, chest-baring clothing, and frayed, torn, or ripped pants.
The memo also emphasized that all students should desist from inappropriate dressing while at the university, as it may result in disciplinary action.
The university joins Kenya Methodist University which released a similar MEMO late last year.
