France President Emmanuel Macron visited Morocco’s dressing room after their 2-0 loss to Les Bleus in the 2022 Qatar World Cup quarter-finals. World-renowned journalist Fabrizio Romano has Tweeted to highlight that Morocco received an unexpected visitor in their dressing room shortly after their fixture.
According to Fabrizio, France President Emmanuel Macron heaped praise on Sofyan Ambrabat describing him as ‘the best midfielder of the tournament’.

During the post-match interview, Morocco’s Head Coach Walid Regragui expressed contentment with his side’s performance at the tournament,
“In spite of our injuries and tiredness, we gave everything on the pitch and we did cause them a problem. At a World Cup, this was a step too far not in terms of quality or tactics but physically we came up short tonight we have many players at 60 or 70 percent and there have been for a few games now. It has been a showcase of their quality.
“Today, December 14, we had a lot of possession but they punished us when they had the ball. Congratulations to France we are going to support them.”
