Former KCB Group Managing Director, Joshua Oigara, has been appointed Chief Executive Officer for Stanbic Bank Kenya & South Sudan effective December 1st, 2022.
Oigara will report directly to Standard Bank East Africa Regional CEO, Patrick Mweheire.
Stanbic bank is a member of the Standard Bank Group.
The Stanbic bank MD Charles Mudiwa retires later this year and the bank has been looking for a replacement.
Mudiwa has successfully served the bank for two decades.
“I am indeed humbled to have served at Standard Bank Group over the last 20 years, playing a pivotal role as a change agent. I am confident that the group will continue to scale new heights,” Mudiwa said.
The bank said in a statement on Tuesday that the retirement will take effect on December 31.

“I would like to express my appreciation to all my colleagues, the wonderful people that I now call my family, many of whom have shaped my journey as Chief Executive and leader,” he said.
Mudiwa’s previous roles include Executive Director and Chief Executive in multiple markets including Zimbabwe, South Africa, Zambia, and Malawi.
Mudiwa joined the company in 2002.

Before that, he worked for Bamburi Cement as Group Financial Director and Chief Financial Officer. Joshua Oigara holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Nairobi and a Master of Business Administration from Edith Cowan University, in Australia.
