Brazil Striker’s proposal to long-term girlfriend goes viral after being called up to Brazil’s World Cup squad.
Head Coach Tite unveiled Brazil’s 26-man squad and one man caught the attention of many having replaced Liverpool’s Roberto Firmino in the pecking order.
Pedro Guilherme is the name and could just be Brazil’s secret weapon. The 25-year-old striker plays for Flamengo, recent Copa Libertadores champions.
The striker’s good run of form scoring 29 goals for Flamengo throughout the campaign was more than enough for a spot in the toughest squad to break through- the Brazil squad.
Immediately after the call-up, Pedro proposed to his long-term girlfriend Fernanda Nogueira. Speaking to Fla TV, the official channel of Flamengo, Pedro said,
“It is a special day, and I made it even more special.”
“This will be my first World Cup, a childhood dream come true… It is an unforgettable day.”

Pedro is an inspiration to many. In 2018, he earned his first call-up to Real Madrid but an anterior cruciate ligament injury dashed his chances. The striker had to settle for a rather disastrous spell at Fiorentina before going back to Brazil.
