Kigoto Maize Plant Will Change Kenya’s Economy – Raila

Homa Bay: The Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) Party leader Raila Odinga launches a multi-million Maize Milling Plant in Homa Bay on Friday, November 4, 2022.

The Kigoto Maize Milling Plant is strategically founded by the county government’s efforts to work hand in hand in order to deliver a long-term program for ensuring the availability of affordable Maize flour in Kenyan markets.

 “We in the Azimio la Umoja-One Kenya advocate for Kenya’s third liberation, in light of the highly ranked progress, I was delighted to officially open the Kigoto Maize Milling Plant to start its operation in the County,” ODM chief Raila Odinga said during the opening session.

 “In fact, we want to advance the economy to our Kenyan people through job creation, value addition, devolution increased food security, and agribusiness,” Odinga added in the statement.

The Kigoto will manufacture its valued Mokwa brand, which will be sold in a variety of outlets throughout the Kenyan markets as well as international markets at large.

On the other hand, Homa Bay County Governor Gladys Wanga showcased the economic progress stating that the Maize Plant is now a game-changer for the region.

“we will soon introduce our Mokwa brand to the esteemed customers in the market, Mokwa is simply the finest and nutrient-rich flour produced in Homabay County,” Gladys Wanga said on Friday, November, 4.
