Benfica snatch top spot from PSG, Madrid cruise to win group F, and the best action from the final group stage fixtures of the UEFA Champions League.
31 minutes is all it took for SL Benfica to score five goals against Israeli Premier League side Maccabi Haifa, and clinch the top spot in a rather tough Group H.
Group H
Benfica were grouped alongside Paris Saint Germain and Juventus, two European giants, but Wednesday night’s 6-1 win over Maccabi Haifa ensured the Portuguese outfit finished as Group winners.
PSG won 2-1 against Juventus, with Kylian Mbappe’s opening goal making history as he becomes the youngest player to score 40 goals in the Champions League. At 23 years and 317 days, Mbappe breaks Messi’s record by 187.

Group E
Chelsea produced a comeback 2-1 win against Dinamo Zagreb with Raheem Sterling and debutant Denis Zakaria on the scoresheet. The win makes Chelsea just the sixth club to record 100 Champions League wins.
Second-placed AC Milan played out to a comfortable win against Salzburg, with Olivier Giroud scoring twice for the home side.
Group F
Real Madrid defeated Scottish league leader Celtic 5-1 on Wednesday night to finish the group as winners. Celtic had a stunning consolation goal by Jota. A freekick in the top corner to ruin Thibaut Courtois’ clean sheet.
Madrid have now scored in 42 of their last 43 home games.
Bundesliga side RB Leipzig outclassed Shakhtar 4-0 away to finish the group in second place. Shakhtar will now drop to the Europa League.
Group G
Premier League giants Manchester City defeated Spanish side Sevilla 3-1 despite conceding the first goal of the fixture. 17-year-old Rico Lewis became the youngest player(17 years 346 days) to score on his first start in the Champions League, breaking Karim Benzema’s 2005 record(17 years 352 days)
After Lewis’ equalizer for Manchester City, Kevin De Bruyne was brought in to do what he does best. The Belgian midfielder provided a delightful pass for Julian Alvarez who finished calmly. Riyad Marez completed the win with a well-placed goal.
Second-placed Sevilla played out a 1-1 draw against Danish Superliga side FC Copenhagen
