Azimio La Umoja- One Kenya Alliance Presidential Candidate Raila Odinga together with his running mate Martha Karua declared that they disagree with the Supreme Court’s decision to reject their case and uphold William Ruto’s victory.
Mr. Odinga underlined his dissatisfaction with the judges’ ruling in a statement that was released an hour after the announcement of the verdict.
“Our lawyers proffered irrefutable evidence and the facts were on our side. Unfortunately, the judges saw it otherwise,” he said.
In a previous statement, the coalition stated that it would respect the Supreme Court’s decision and that they went to the Court only to explore for the truth.

However, after the Court uphold Ruto’s victory, Martha Karua in her official twitter handle explained how much she got dissapointed by the Supreme Court ruling.
Raila Odinga’s case, which maintained that the declaration of Dr. Ruto as president-elect was invalid, was unanimously dismissed by the seven-judge panel chaired by Chief Justice Martha Koome.
CJ Koome, who delivered the ruling on Monday, stated that the court was not persuaded that the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission’s (IEBC’s) use of technology to conduct the election failed the test and that there was no convincing proof that there had been interference with the transmission of the forms.
“Petitioners did not present any credible evidence that met the threshold of proof. There were no security flaws in the IEBC systems, according to the investigation findings. We believe the discrepancies and errors found during the audit were corrected.
