Kenyan singer Nadia Mukami has confirmed that she and fellow musician Arrow Bwoy have ended their relationship in a post made on her Instagram, bringing fresh attention to one of the country’s most followed celebrity unions.

The announcement came after weeks of speculation online, fuelled by cryptic social media posts, emotional song lyrics and public disagreements linked to their music releases.
Nadia and Arrow Bwoy, whose real name is Ali Yusuf, have spent years in the public eye as both musical collaborators and partners. Together, they built a reputation as one of Kenya’s entertainment power couples, sharing family moments online and raising two children together.
But signs of tension had increasingly surfaced in recent months.
In March, Nadia sparked debate after teasing her song Ex Harudiwi, a track many fans interpreted as a message aimed at Arrow Bwoy. In one widely shared video, the singer removed her engagement ring and threw it onto the grass outside her home, a moment that quickly ignited breakup rumours across social media.
At the time, Nadia pushed back against claims that the song was meant to attack the father of her children.
“I cannot write a song attacking the father of my kids,” she said in a social media statement, describing Arrow Bwoy as “an amazing father”.

The pair had also recently faced public scrutiny over Arrow Bwoy’s controversial song Side Chick, which Nadia openly criticised online, saying she was uncomfortable with the message associated with the title.
Their relationship has previously survived public breakups. In 2022, Nadia announced that they had separated, telling followers she had “run out of lies” while addressing promoters who continued booking them together. The couple later reconciled and expanded their family.
This time, however, Nadia’s latest statement appears to have removed any ambiguity surrounding their status.
Neither Nadia nor Arrow Bwoy has publicly discussed the reasons behind the separation in detail. Arrow Bwoy has also not issued a lengthy response since the latest announcement.
For many fans, the breakup marks the end of a relationship that had become closely tied to Kenya’s modern celebrity culture where music, family life and public image often played out side by side online.
