Ferdinand Omondi, popularly known as Mbavu Destroyer, has formally withdrawn his Sports Disputes Tribunal case against Portifas Odipo alias Majembe.
According to official documents dated April 15, 2026, the claimant opted to withdraw the entire suit with immediate effect and without any conditions, effectively bringing the legal battle to a close.
Legal Notice Confirms Immediate Withdrawal
The notice of withdrawal confirms that Mbavu Destroyer has discontinued proceedings against all listed respondents.
These include Majembe, Steve Thompson Maghana also known as Oga Obinna, and the Kenya Professional Boxing Commission, which had been listed as an interested party.
The legal filing instructs the tribunal to mark the matter as closed, signaling an end to the dispute that had drawn attention within Kenya’s boxing circles following a controversial finish when the two fought earlier in the month at the Kasarani Indoor Arena.
