John Cena has officially retired from professional wrestling, bringing an end to one of the most successful and influential careers in WWE history.

The 17-time world champion wrestled his final match on December 13, 2025, in Washington, D.C., losing to Gunther in a hard-fought contest that lasted more than 20 minutes. Gunther forced Cena to tap out, marking the final moment of Cena’s in-ring career.
