The long-running conflict between Kylian Mbappé and Paris Saint-Germain shifted to the French labor court on Monday, as both sides filed major financial claims tied to the striker’s exit from the club.
Mbappé is seeking €263 million, saying PSG mistreated him during the 2023–24 season after he chose not to extend his contract. His lawyers argue he was pushed out of the main squad, forced to train with unwanted players, and left out of the club’s pre-season tour to Asia. He says he never agreed to waive any payments when he refused a transfer to Saudi club Al Hilal in 2023.

PSG responded with an even larger claim, demanding €440 million from their former star. The club says they lost major transfer revenue when he rejected the €300 million offer from Al Hilal. PSG is also seeking compensation for what it describes as damage to the club’s image, as well as an alleged breach of an agreement they believed existed after the failed move.
Mbappé left PSG in 2024 to join Real Madrid on a free transfer after seven seasons in Paris. He scored 256 goals in 308 games for the club, though PSG went on to win their first Champions League title after his departure. He now earns an estimated €30 million per year in Spain.
The tribunal is reviewing claims from both sides and is expected to deliver a ruling on December 16.
