Stevo Simple Boy, the Kenyan rapper many know as Dragon or Mzee wa Mitulinga, has confirmed that he and his girlfriend Brenda are expecting their first child.
The couple shared the joyful news through a touching baby bump shoot posted online. In the video, Brenda wears a flowing white gown, gently holding her belly, while Stevo stands beside her, smiling with quiet pride.
The post quickly captured the attention of fans and celebrities alike, flooding social media with congratulatory messages.
“Watu wameongea sana kuhusu mimi, lakini Mungu anajua mipango zake. Sasa naingia chapter mpya – kuwa baba,” said Stevo in a recent podcast appearance.
“People have said many things about me, but God knows His plans. I’m now starting a new chapter – becoming a father.”

Brenda also spoke to local media about the journey so far.
“We are so excited to be entering this new phase of life,” she said. “It hasn’t been easy, but it’s been full of gratitude. Stevo has been very supportive.”
This is the first major public announcement from the couple since earlier rumours suggested they had split. Reports of tension circulated earlier this year, but the pair later reappeared at public events and began posting content together once again on TikTok and Instagram.
Known for his humility, humorous lyrics and viral phrases, Stevo’s musical rise has not been without its challenges—including trolling and financial pressure. Yet through it all, he and Brenda have maintained a grounded relationship, mostly outside the limelight.
The news has since attracted praise from well-known personalities like Bahati and comedian Mulamwah, who took to social media to share their support.
“It’s not about the cameras now,” Stevo added. “It’s about family.”
As they await the baby’s arrival, the couple say they are focusing on home, peace, and the blessings of new life.
For Stevo Simple Boy-Dragon, Mzee wa Mitulinga, and now a father-to-be-it’s another step in a journey that continues to inspire millions.
