Mama Rachel’s Touching Father’s Day Tribute to President Ruto

In a warm and deeply personal message shared on Father’s Day, Kenya’s First Lady Rachel Ruto paid tribute to President William Ruto not just as a Head of State, but as a father.

Referring to him affectionately as “Bill,” she offered rare insight into their private life, portraying a man who, despite the heavy demands of leadership, still makes time for his children.

“While you carry the weight of immense responsibility for our nation, a burden few can truly understand, you still find a way to be fully present for our family,” she wrote. “You listen, you laugh, you guide, and you love our wonderful children with all your heart.”

Calling him “the most remarkable dad we know,” Mama Rachel’s message struck a chord with many Kenyans online, where it quickly made the rounds. It was not just a post of affection but a reminder of the softer, often unseen side of public figures.

“Thank you for being our rock, our inspiration, and the heart of our family. We love you beyond measure,” she added.

But the First Lady didn’t stop at celebrating her husband. She extended her appreciation to all fathers, calling them unsung heroes who offer “quiet strength,” work long hours, and make daily sacrifices out of love.

“To all the amazing dads out there: Today, we celebrate you,” she said. “We see the quiet strength it takes to shoulder responsibilities… and the countless sacrifices made out of love.”

President Ruto echoed that sentiment in his own Father’s Day message, honouring fathers as the backbone of family and society.

“Fathers carry the weight of responsibility with quiet strength,” he said. “They shape values, model resilience, and offer steadfast support through life’s seasons.”

“In their hands, children find safety. In their presence, families prosper. Through their sacrifice, communities stand strong.”

Ruto also took time to acknowledge the role of fathers in building stable homes and stronger societies, highlighting the deep links between fatherhood and national wellbeing.
