Brad Pitt’s Los Angeles Home Burgled, Police Confirm

Los Angeles — A house in Los Angeles owned by actor Brad Pitt was broken into late Wednesday night, according to a police source familiar with the case.

The Los Angeles Police Department confirmed to the press that officers responded to a burglary at a residence in the upscale Los Feliz neighbourhood just after 10:30 p.m. Authorities did not publicly identify the homeowner, but a source close to the investigation said the property belongs to Pitt.

Police say three intruders entered the home through a front window. They reportedly searched through rooms and fled the scene with an undisclosed amount of property. No injuries were reported, and no arrests have been made.

“There is no suspect information at this time,” said LAPD Officer Drake Madison. “The investigation is ongoing.”

Pitt’s spokesperson declined to comment on the incident when contacted.

The actor’s residence is situated in a quiet, affluent part of Los Feliz, near the scenic Griffith Park. Known for its privacy and lush surroundings, the area has seen a rise in high-profile break-ins in recent months.

This incident comes on the heels of a similar burglary in Seattle earlier this month. Police there said rapper Macklemore’s home was broken into, with thieves making off with “thousands of dollars” worth of items.

In a separate case earlier this year, seven Chilean nationals were charged in the United States for allegedly stealing more than $2 million worth of goods from the homes of professional athletes and celebrities.

Security analysts say celebrities and wealthy homeowners are being increasingly targeted by organised groups. “These aren’t random break-ins,” said Chris Klekamp, a private security consultant in California. “They’re carefully timed and often involve multiple people.”

No official connection has been made between Pitt’s burglary and the other recent crimes.

Police are urging anyone with information about Wednesday night’s incident to come forward.
