Comedian and Actor Eddie Butita revealed that he will accompany President Ruto to the United States for a state visit hosted by President Joe Biden.
“Leaving for USA today. Thank you His Excellency President William Samoei Ruto for choosing me to accompany you to the United States Of America State Visit hosted by the USA President His Excellency President Joe Biden. The fact that I’m part of the Head of States delegation is a clear sign and we are happy that the creative industry is part of the conversations we are going to have during this trip,” Butita posted on Instagram yesterday.
Sometime last year, the President recognised Butita and his counterpart Njugush, saying they were serious entrepreneurs and made more money than him.
“That is why we have Njugush around, that is why we have Butita around. These are our great artists who today are monetizing their content. Pongezi sana gentlemen,” the President said.
“Those two young men you see there, they are making more money than my salary,” the president further praised them.
Butita has worked with Abel Mutua and Comedian Njugush and his wife who embodies the character Wakavinye. He wrote and directed the YouTube series A Nurse Toto. Furthermore, he has consistently assisted Njugush in planning and executing TTNT (Through Thick and Thin), a live comedy show that Njugush and Celestine consistently host.
In addition, Eddie supports Abel Mutua and his projects, such as the upcoming Jyuuce party to be hosted in Eldoret, which he (Butita) has advertised on his Instagram page.
