Lupita Nyong’o appreciates the support she received from her fans after her breakup.
Taking to her Instagram stories, the Black Panther star wrote a heartfelt message to her followers, likening their kind words during breakup to ‘a balm’. “Thank you for all the kindness I have received from sharing my heartbreak news. The words of encouragement mean more to me than I anticipated. They are a balm,” the 40-year-old actress wrote.

According to Nyong’o, she has received letters from her fans containing songs, poetry, books, and inspirational quotations to help her cope with the pain. She also provided healing-related inspirational sayings from well-known people.
On October 19, the Black Panther: Wakanda Forever actress shared on Instagram about her hurt following a painful breakup. She said that, despite the fact that “there are much more important things going on in the world right now,” it was “necessary” for her to “share a personal truth and publicly dissociate [herself] from someone [she] can no longer trust.”
In her final paragraph, Nyong’o stated that she was motivated to post this information about her breakup because “the knowledge of my experience might be useful to someone else out there experiencing the grip of heartbreak who is poised to try and escape from the pain and miss out on the wisdom that comes from it.”

One day before the star’s post, she and Joshua Jackson—who recently divorced wife Jodie Turner-Smith—had been sighted in Los Angeles with friends at the Janelle Monae event. Jackson and Nyong’o showed up together and sat throughout the entire performance. According to reports, she welcomed her friends over and introduced them to him.
