Balala made the announcement on Friday while he expressed gratitude for the new job saying he would now be working with governments and political leaders around the world for the United Kingdom-based foundation.

“Honored to have been appointed by Tony Blair Institute for Global Change (TBI) as a Tourism Advisor  part of a global team of political strategists, policy experts, delivery practitioners  who work with governments and political leaders around the world to drive change,” Balala wrote on his X account.

The appointment comes barely a year since the former CS was appointed as the Vice-President of Fauna and Flora International (FFI), which is a global wildlife conservation charity.

Additionally, before landing international gigs, Balala served as Mvita MP in the year 2002, where he served on term, before he became the longest serving minister for 12 years.
