Legendary singer Jimmy Buffet was reported dead on Friday September 1 and his fans and friends all across the world have poured out messages of condolences sharing how the musician influenced their lives.
It is reported that the singer died after a battle with skin cancer which is said to have quickly progressed into lymphoma. Taking to his social media pages, his family confirmed that the Jimmy Buffet has passed away peacefully and surrounded by family. The message read; Jimmy passed away peacefully on the night of September 1st surrounded by his family, friends, music, family and dogs. He lived his life like a song till the very last breath and will be missed beyond measure by so many.
After announcement of the musician’s death, friends, fans along with celebrities wrote messages of condolences and some shared photos of moments they shared with him. Country singer Blake Shelton took to his social media page to write about how ‘heartbroken’ he was by the passing of Jimmy Buffet. ‘What an incredible talent and man. His songs will live on forever’, he wrote. He went ahead to explain how Jimmy Buffet influenced the success of his show dubbed Barmageddon.
