When a couple with a child breaks up, the man is expected to take responsibility financially for raising the child. Kenyan singer Juliani shares that his baby mama actress Brenda Wairimu has played the ‘understanding girlfriend’ role.
During an interview, Juliani shared that Brenda has stepped up in the raising of their child especially when he could not financially. He said that her personality and attitude made co-parenting work for them.
The Utawala hitmaker shared that due to Brenda’s love for their daughter, Amor went the extra mile to ensure that he spent quality time with them. He praised her for her supportive role in their co-parenting.
“It is a people thing. Mother wa mtoi wangu is a good person. She wants the best for her child, and I don’t think she wants the worst for me. Because she wants the best for her child, then it is automatic that she will go the extra mile to make sure that I see the child and hang out.”
Juliani pointed out that when one parent cannot contribute as much as the other towards raising the child, especially financially, it becomes difficult and strenuous. In such instances, he pointed out that seeking help is important.
“She is very supportive. Kuna siku wewe uko poa utaspend time na mtoi more. So wewe kama ukonayo sahi, and if you can give that particular time, just give. If you don’t have pia unasema sina hii nguvu na maybe utasaidiwa na mamako ama baba ya mtoi wako.”
Juliani shared that the mental, physical, and spiritual well-being of a person was critical when it came to raising a child, especially as co-parents in order for it to be successful for both the parents and most importantly the child.

“I am not saying life is perfect but it is an individual thing. If you are mentally, physically, and spiritually good as a person, then everything around you will start aligning.”
When asked about his two-year marriage with his wife, Lilian Ng’ang’a he shared that his marriage was blissful and was enjoying a harmonious marriage. The couple welcomed their first child together, Utheri back in August 2022.
