Steven Gerrard has rubbished speculations that Mason Greenwood will rebuild his career at Al-Ettifaq as reports suggested.
The 21-year-old is searching for a new team after it was mutually agreed he would leave Manchester United on Monday following a six-month internal investigation into his conduct.
A report on Monday claimed that Al-Ettifaq were prepared to offer the forward a £10million-per-year deal. It was also suggested that other Saudi Arabian clubs were weighing up a move for the forward.

Posting a screenshot of a report linking Al-Ettifaq with Greenwood on Instagram, he added the caption: ‘FAKE NEWS’.
Greenwood was suspended by United in January 2022 over allegations relating to a young woman after images and videos were posted online and has not played for the Red Devils since.

The 21 year old is reportedly eager to remain in England and United have expressed a desire to help him find a new club.
