The when you are ready come and get it hit maker, Selena Gomez has announced her return to music. The 30-year-old singer has announced she will be dropping her new single, Single Soon next week.
Selena shared the exciting news on her Instagram page. The song is from her upcoming album and according to Selena it is the best song for the end of summer. She shared this alongside a series of snapshot including a few that showed her slaying some fabulous fashion in a car.
Y’all have been asking for new music for a while. Since I’m not quite done with SG3, I wanted to put out a fun little song I wrote a while back that’s perfect for the end of summer. SINGLE SOON. August 25th. Presave it now.

Years back, Selena was a Disney star in a show called, Wizards of Waverly Places while Miley Cyrus who is also a pop star was in Disney in a show called, Hannah Montana. Interestingly, both former Disney stars now musicians, will be dropping a new single on the same date. Miley will be dropping her single, Used To Be Young.
Selena Gomez is teaming up with some previous producer collaborators like Benny Blanco, whom she worked with for their 2021 hit, Can’t Get Enough. In her press release, Selena promised that new single would be a pop anthem.
During an interview in the Tonight Show, Selena shared that she was used to writing sad girl songs because she was good at that. She however added that she was changing and ready to have some fun and anticipates that people will love it.

Less than a year ago, Selena released a single called, My mind and me a song from her documentary and she did a collaboration with Rema, for his already hit, Calm down. Both songs got to the Billboard Hot 100 chart.
Selena’s new album, SG3 does not have a release date yet but on June, Selena shared a picture of herself in the studio while France. She was in France filming the movie, Emilia Perez. This will be her first album since the release of Rare back in 2020.
