In a horrifying turn of events, an 18-year-old mother, Jazmin Paez, was arrested on Tuesday after allegedly attempting to hire a hitman to kill her own 3-year-old son.
The alarming incident came to light when Paez filled out a form on a parody hit-for-hire website. According to police reports, the site is designed to prevent real solicitations for heinous acts. The website’s operator, Robert Innes, acting responsibly, alerted the authorities. This was upon receiving the service request to target Paez’s innocent child.
As the investigation unfolded, authorities confirmed the credibility of the disturbing information. Jazmin Paez was swiftly taken into custody on Tuesday night. The charges against her include; first-degree solicitation of murder and third-degree use of a communications device for unlawful purposes.
Appearing in court on Wednesday, Paez secured legal representation through the Miami-Dade Public Defender’s Office. The gravity of her actions left many perplexed. Court documents revealed that Paez used a fake name to submit the request on the deceptive website. Shockingly, she requested her child be taken far away and possibly killed. Setting Thursday as the deadline for the horrible job.
Authorities tracked Paez through an IP address and phone number obtained from the bogus website. The trail led them to the home of the 3-year-old’s grandmother, where the child had been living at the time.
The grandmother played a crucial role in confirming the identity of the intended victim. She recognized the child’s picture submitted on the website and verified the phone number as her daughter’s. According to her mother, Paez had moved out in May but continued to maintain daily contact with her son via phone calls.
In an attempt to close the deal, a detective posing as the hired hitman established contact with Paez. Engaging in a series of text messages, Paez allegedly confirmed her deadly request and agreed to pay $3,000 for the death wish.
During questioning at the Miami-Dade Police Department, Paez made a shocking confession. She revealed that the motive behind her sinister plan was an ill-fated romantic relationship. Jazmin Paez alleged that her lover disliked her having a son. The mother believed that eliminating her child would rekindle the relationship.

However, Jazmin’s father came out to defend her daughter. He said that his daughter has been through 12 surgeries and gave birth at the tender age of 15.
“My daughter is not a monster. My daughter is a little girl who was born with health problems. She has liquid retained in her neck. She’s had 12 surgeries, she lost the ability to move her face. She’s been bullied in school, they called her ‘The monster.'”
