David De Gea’s future at Manchester United is hanging in the balance after the club made a U-turn on his contract.
Last season, De Gea had reached a new deal which had reduced terms.
The 32-year-old joined United from Atletico Madrid for (€18.9 million) in 2011 when Sir Alex Ferguson was still manager.
According to Athletic, the goalkeeper has been offered Ksh38,374,869 (€250,000) per week which could see him leave Old Trafford.

The Spaniard goalkeeper used to earn ksh57,559,781.81 €375,000 per week when he joined United in 2019.
His contract expired on June 30 which will leave him as a free agent who can sign for any club.
It is reported that United could re-sign De Gea since there are plans to hold face-to-face talks after his wedding over the weekend.
Erik Ten Hag’s lack of faith is what prompted the club to renege on a new contract this summer.
