President William Ruto Steps Out in Marijuana-Print Shirt

President William Ruto’s outfit choice today drew speculation as to whether he will be legalizing marijuana in his tenure.

The president, who has recently become more fashionable, donning kaunda suits while attending public functions, today appeared in public in a beige shirt with the popular marijuana emblem on it. The president wore the shirt while on a trip to Lamu County where he was expected to launch the Lamu County Commissioner’s Office in Mokowe.

The President carried on with his duties, opening offices, overseeing the Tana Delta Irrigation Project’s repair, and even handing out checks to the nearby Mokowe fishing community. The shirt excited the Kenyans on Twitter who noticed the details when his social media team posted the events of the day on social media. The comments section on the president’s Twitter account was flooded with ‘legalize’ pleas.

While other Kenyans complained of the cyber attacks experienced, most of the netizens made light of the president’s outfit choice. One Twitter user @muhia254, tweeting ‘Rudishia Wajackoyah shati sasa’. George Wajackoyah, the Roots Party Presidential candidate quickly became popular among the youth and Kenyans during the 2022 elections after promising in his manifesto that he would legalize bhang if elected into office. He has since been recognized as the face of ‘ganja legalization’ in Kenya.
