According to Kenyan laws, abortion is strictly prohibited. It is only when the mother’s life is at risk medically, that the consideration can be made. In other words, a health professional must find it necessary for emergency treatment.

In relation to the survey, the study showed that many beliefs were centred on one’s religious affiliations. Most of those who were against abortion were found to be more religious than their counterparts. In countries with higher devout religious people, many were against abortion and vice versa.

Aside from religion, gender also played a role in the stance made. With many men are against abortion. Few women on the other hand were more inclined to mention that abortion should be legalised. The difference was not as influential as religion was though.
