Manchester United have rejected a loan bid from west ham for their former captain Harry Maguire, who is free to leave the club.
The Guardian reports that the London club are open to talks for Maguire but the asking price from the Red Devils which is Ksh9,263,456,650.00 (£50m) is prohibitive.
The Hammers are apparently exploring the prospects of signing Maguire and even the option of buying.
The England international saw his salary increased when Man Utd qualified for the Champions League and the Hammers do not have the capacity to match his demands.
Maguire started just eight Premier League games in 2022-23 and it is thought that Man United are open to cashing in on the defender to generate funds for summer targets.

While West Ham are aware that Man United expect to make a big loss on Maguire, who cost £80m in 2019, the Hammers are unwilling to commit to such a significant outlay on the 30-year-old.
