RB Leipzig Sporting Director, Max Eberl, has confirmed that Josko Gvardiol wants to join Manchester City this summer.
“I can confirm that Gvardiol and his agents told us about their desire to move to Manchester City,” Eberl said, in an interview on Sunday.
Having signed Mateo Kovacic from Chelsea, City is now keen to boost their defence.

RB Leipzig has set an offer of not less than €100m. This fee will make him the most expensive defender in history.
The 21-year-old is viewed as the ideal signing that’s why Pep Guardiola is keen on signing him.
Pep is particularly impressed with his ability on the ball as well as duels.
According to Goal, the deal is edging closer and the Croatian defender has reportedly agreed personal terms with the treble winners.

Gvardiol has a €97m release clause in his Leipzig contract.
Pep will probably use a four-centre-back system next season that’s why he would rather sign Gvardiol than a full-back.
