Eric Omondi the president of comedy called out the government on cost of living, stating that the Kenya Kwanza government has lied to Kenyans and have not kept the many promises told on their campaign run, since resuming office in August 2022.
“We must call out the Kenya Kwanza Government for lying to Kenyans. The President promised us a better life, a cheaper life, and an easier life but now the narrative has changed to housing…. No Kenyan is homeless, what we need is food on the table not higher taxes.” Eric stated during an open forum.
Omondi also went ahead to remind the government that what Kenyans need are not taxes but food on the table. Eric who has been championing for low cost of living and 15% tax on content creator to be done away with, was also happy as he stated that as commanded by the government the tax on content creators should be removed from the financial bill.

Omondi statement was met with a rebuttal live on air by Cs. Moses Kuria that has created a sensational conversation online with Kuria claimed to have paid Omondi’s trip to US seven years ago.
“Miaka saba iliyopita nilichukuwa pesa yangu nikampeleka(Eric Omondi) Amerika ndio aone dunia vile ikon a sahii vile anaongea afadhali ningetumia hiyo pesa kwa sherehe.” Kuria reacted to Omondi’s statement.
Netizens took to the comment to share their reaction as most people supported the statement made by Eric Omondi stating that it was standing for many citizens and people in Kenya toward.
Moses Kuria on the other hand met critics who advised that he shouldn’t have taken Eric’s word personal since it was an open forum.
