The event, which was organized by Stanbic Bank and Radio Africa Group for the second time in a row, seemed to have stirred a mix of reactions from the attendees.

Those who paid for the VVIP section in the event say that they had a great time at the event while a section of the VIP section revelers and those who were in the regular section complain that they didn’t get value for their money at the event. Some of their complaints include poor sound and rain.

The organizers charged Kes. 8,000 for regular tickets, Kes. 14,000 for couple tickets and Kes. 15, 000 for VIP tickets. Despite complaints of the high pricing of the tickets, all the VVIP, VIP and regular tickets sold out before the event.

The show had earlier been hyped as the biggest concert in Kenya this year and many of the revelers were optimistic that they would get value for their money as they get to kick back and get serenaded by the old school RnB trio Boyz II Men.

According to Abigail Arunga, who lamented about her experience on the event through a long thread posted on Twitter, there was lack of organization from the event organizers causing revelers to suffer the effects of heavy rains, especially those in the regular section.

That was just a tip of the iceberg as sound and video broadcasting was cut short for the attendees mid-event leaving them chanting ‘fix the screen’ and ‘fix the sound’ as the event continued.

The revelers who were in the VVIP section, however, say that they enjoyed the event and it was definitely worth it. The organizers charged Kes. 30,000 for limited VVIP tickets to the event.
