LeBron James’ torn tendon in foot may need surgery

Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James has been playing through a torn tendon in his right foot. According to Shams Chanaria, he may require surgery.” If a surgical procedure is required, he would be side-lined for two months.

On Feb 26 the Lakers secured a win after a 27 point deficit to defeat the Mavericks 111-108.Late in the game LeBron suffered a foot injury while attempting a lay up in the third quarter. His attempt fell short and he tumbled on the floor in pain while grabbing his right foot.” I heard it pop, “the legendary forward said as he lay on the ground.

Upon his return on March 26 after missing 13 games, James revealed that multiple doctors suggested he needed season ending surgery.

He played in every single games and as always a key player who ensured the Lakers had reached the Western Conference finals.

Despite James putting up 27.8,10 assits per game, 9.5 rebounds, the Lakers were swept out of the Western Conference finals by the Denver Nuggets.

In an interview with ESPN he said,” I knew I could get to the finish line. Obviously I had to deal with the pain and also the pain of not being able to be myself before the injury. I’m going to get an MRI on it and see how the tendon healed or not healed and go from there. We’ll see what happens.”

Whether James needs a surgery or not he will definitely be ready for next season that is if he does not retire. He had hinted a retirement after their loss to Denver Nuggets.
