Celine Dion has cancelled all her remaining live shows, telling fans she is not strong enough to tour after being diagnosed with a rare neurological disorder.

In an apologetic statement posted on Twitter, the 55-year-old icon expressed her heartfelt disappointment, explaining that she needs more time to recover before returning to the stage.

Dion first disclosed her diagnosis of SPS in December 2022, revealing that the condition was affecting her ability to sing. The disorder causes muscle spasms that restrict her use of vocal cords, preventing her from performing in her usual manner. Consequently, the European leg of her Courage World Tour, which was initially scheduled for February 2023, was postponed.

Having completed 52 shows before the COVID-19 pandemic forced a pause, Dion had hoped to resume her tour and reconnect with her fans. However, the challenges posed by her health led to the unfortunate decision to cancel all remaining shows, including highly anticipated performances in cities such as London, Dublin, Paris, Berlin, Amsterdam, Stockholm, and Zurich.

In a statement issued by her tour team, the cancellation was expressed with profound disappointment, reflecting the collective sentiment of Dion’s loyal fan base. The artist herself emphasized her determination not to give up, expressing gratitude for the support received and promising to make a triumphant return when she is ready.

The Courage World Tour, which commenced in 2019, was intended to mark Dion’s first global concert tour in a decade and was an emotional endeavour following the passing of her husband-manager, Rene Angelil, in 2016 due to cancer.

Celine Dion’s illustrious career has been punctuated by timeless hits such as “My Heart Will Go On,” “Because You Loved Me,” “All By Myself,” and “It’s All Coming Back To Me Now.” Despite the current setback, fans worldwide remain hopeful for her full recovery and eagerly await her triumphant return to the stage.

As Dion continues to work tirelessly to regain her strength, the challenges of touring have proven to be particularly demanding, even under ideal circumstances.
