A mother has become a savior for parents with fussy eaters after she cracked the code to transform mealtimes into a delightful experience for her two-year-old daughter.
Erin and Charlie, 33, started implementing an unusual life hack with their daughter Hallie from just six months old, and she’s never looked back since.
The parent claims she’s been giving her daughter her dinner for over one year now and she’s never looked back.
In short, she means that she does not separate adult meal and child meals in her home.
Erin and her husband, Charlie, who works as an SEO marketing contractor, have adopted a baby-led weaning approach, which involves introducing finger foods directly instead of purees.
She encourages fellow parents to use baby-led weaning with their little ones to promote stress-free mealtimes.
Erin began introducing solid foods to Hallie when she was only six months old, starting with soft-boiled carrots and other similar foods.
Today, Hallie is a foodie who loves prawns, smoked salmon, gherkins, olives, and haggis. The once picky eater has even tried mussels and fish sticks, much to the amazement of her parents.
Erin said: “She loves fish – white fish and loves smoked salmon. Prawn is her absolute favorite. She’d scoff a whole packet if we let her.
“We plonked the mussels down in front of her and she scoffed the lot.
“I was teaching her how to use the shell and pick the mussel out. Fish is one of her staples.
“She loves the fish from the chippy but doesn’t eat the batter. She picks out the fish. Fingers crossed she won’t be fussy.”
To inspire her daughter to try new foods, the mother frequently cooks with her daughter, including preparing eggs, to foster a love for trying new things.
