Azimio’s coalition party had sent a notice informing the police about their protests. The scheduled peaceful public meetings will happen next week on Tuesday.
Dr. Wycliffe Oparanya mentioned that the demonstrations will take place in the major streets of Moi Avenue, Kenyatta Avenue, Haile Selassie Avenue and Harambee avenue as from morning till evening.
“We have set the date on a Tuesday to excuse workers who shall be celebrating Labor Day on Monday, May 1,” Mr Oparanya told Nation.
Oparanya claims there is lack of seriousness from the government side in the bipartisan talks hence it has prompted the return of maandamano, which will run at the same time with the talks.
