Benfica and Chelsea went through to the quarter final on Tuesday as the  UEFA Champions League  last-16 second legs take place this week.

The player to watch is Kylian Mbappe having broken the Paris Saint-Germain goalscoring record netting his 201st goal for the club on Saturday evening with no Champions League trophy in his backyard.

The Ligue 1 leaders have recovered from the home disappointing performance against Bayern and claim three straight domestic wins collecting 11 goals in the process; Mbappe has netted five of them thus 30 goals in 30 games for his club this season.

It’s a battle for breaking records between Mbappe and team mate Lionel Messi who recently grabbed The Best FIFA men’s player award and has 18 goals by his name for Christophe Galtier’s side this season.

PSG Team News:

PSG will miss Brazil forward Neymar who has been ruled out for the remainder of the season.

A statement from PSG said:

“Neymar has had several episodes of right ankle instability in recent years.

“Following his last sprain contracted on February 20, the medical staff of Paris Saint-Germain recommended a ligament repair operation, in order to avoid a major risk of recurrence.

“All of the experts consulted confirmed this need. A delay of three to four months is expected before his return to collective training.”

PSG play with three Centre-backs this season, but will miss Presnel Kimpembe for the rest of the campaign due to Achilles injury.

Doubts are on Nordi Mukiele and Captain Marquinhos as he came off at the weekend with a rib injury this forces ageing Sergio Ramos to play despite questions about his fitness.

Hard times for Achraf Hakimi but could return at right-back less than a week after being charged with rape but the club is in full support for the Moroccan while the case is investigated, and the legal proceedings do not stop the player from leaving France.

Musiala KEY player for Bayern:

“With all the goals that he scored, it is not easy to find a player like that. But we have an amazing squad and we have to spread the goals out between all of us and have to find offensive solutions apart from Lewandowski to score goals.”

The 20-year-old midfielder is Bayern’s top scorer in the Bundesliga and all eyes on him against Paris Saint-Germain tonight. In addition to that, Musiala is second in the Bundesliga for assists this season and with greatest dribbling skills.

“Left-side 10,” that is how Musiala described it that day in Leipzig. “It is pretty open,” he explains. “You can always rotate to go out wide or come inside, there is space inside for me to turn and dribble into and create chances. It all depends on the opponent how we play.”
