Azimio coalition flag bearer, Raila Odinga, has pointed a finger at the coordinated nature of the attack on Northlands farm linked to Uhuru’s family, emphasising that it was planned.
Speaking during an interview with BBC Africa’s Ferdinand Omondi on Tuesday, March 28, over ongoing demonstrations and the impasse between the opposition and the current regime, Raila strategically said that it was a planned target.
“We see that our democratic institutions are under attack simply shows Kenya is on a serious brink”, Raila Odinga said.

“So why the attack on his property (former President Uhuru Kenyatta), is he supporting you by any means during mass action protests?’’, BBC Africa Ferdinand Omondi asked Raila Odinga.
“They have been unfounded allegations that the honourable Uhuru Kenyatta is funding the current protests that have been carried out by Azimio but nothing could be further from the truth,
Yes, Uhuru Kenyatta is a member of this movement. He is still the chairman of this movement, but he’s restrained himself, so he has not had any, any time to engage in domestic issues at all neither has he commented or talked about what is going on in the country,” Odinga stated.

“For instance, the attack at Spectra was almost the same time that the Northlands farm was attacked, do they strike you as premeditated or sporadic?”, Omondi asked.
In addition, Raila Odinga said the attacks are well planned and could not have been accidental as some politicians had mentioned it ahead of Monday’s vandalisation.
“They’ve been talking about it. They have gone public and said that they’re going to invade Uhuru’s farm. The sanctity of property, and respect for private property as enshrined in the Constitution. So you see if you are invading now Uhuru’s farm where is the borderline? Where is the end, what stops you tomorrow when from invading so and so’s farm and the other farm and so on?” Raila explained.
As previously reported opposition and Azimio leader Raila Odinga has made claims that Deputy President Rigathi plans on causing mayhem during the mass action in Nairobi on Monday.
In a statement released on Sunday, March 25, Raila claimed that DP Gachagua had set up a fully stocked armoury and command centres in two different locations at a house near the Bomas of Kenya that belongs to a former CS and another at Hillcrest drive in Nairobi, belonging to a current CS.
According to him, this ‘planned’ mayhem is targeted against key Azimio leaders who are pioneering the mass action. Among them are Nairobi Senator Edwin Sifuna, Opiyo Wandayi (Minority leader and MP Ugunja Constituency), Babu Owino (MP Embakasi East), and Jeremiah Kioni, among others.
