On Sunday, the Premier League battle shaped up just as most Gunners fans would have wished. A 3-0 away win at Craven Cottage in one of four Sunday fixtures. Rivals United were held to a barren draw at Old Trafford.

Arsenal’s Leandro Trossard made history by providing three assists in the first half. The first, in the 21st minute for Gabriel, and the second in the 26th minute for Martinelli. He sealed the historic achievement by providing the final assist for Martin Odegaard.

Fulham improved their attacking play in the second half with Tosin Adarabioyo hitting the woodwork. , Arsenal continued to maintain control of the game. Thirteen minutes from time, Gabriel Jesus came off the bench to make his first start since having knee surgery in December, giving Arsenal an additional lift.

With 11 games remaining for each team, the result puts Arsenal five points ahead of title rival Manchester City. Fulham stay eighth.

Arsenal’s next fixture is at home against Sporting Lisbon in the second leg of their UEFA Europa League Round of 16 tie. They will then host Crystal Palace in the Premier League on Sunday.

Manchester United Draw Against Southampton

The Red Devils may have been looking to bounce back to winning ways in the Premier League when they faced relegation-threatened Southampton at Old Trafford. In United’s last fixture in the league, they lost 7-0 to Liverpool before winning the UEFA Europa League clash against Real Betis, 4-1 the final score. On Sunday, United drew 0-0 agaisnt Southampton.

Casemiro was sent off in the first half for a studs-up tackle on Carlos Alcaraz. James Ward-Prowse and Theo Walcott went close for the visitors as Bruno Fernandes was tipped off the post by Saints keeper G. Bazunu.

The scoreline does not reflect the fixture as it played out as an exciting match for the neutrals. End-to-end action as both keepers proved hard to beat.

Southampton remain two points from safety but are still bottom of the Premier League. United are still in third.
