Radio 47, Kenya has significantly outlined solid key measures for its operational circle ahead of its launch early March this year.
Sources indicate that the radio has raided big names from Standard Group’s Radio Maisha as the station has been hit by the mass resignation of its talented journalists.
The circulated news on social media showed a green light signal that Radio 47 owned by Cape Media Limited was set to rock Kenyan airwaves in March 2023, as they arrange for known names over the radio.
Highlighted Popular Names Joining Radio 47;
Hassan Kauleni: Hassan Kauleni is a highly-ranked sports Swahili commentator, Editor, and presenter respectively.
Other than playing a significant role in the editorial department, Kauleni also presents and commentates on Football matches.
At Radio Maisha owned by the Standard Media Group, Hassan was hosting-Nuru ya Lugha programme.
Geoffrey Mung’ou: Geoffrey Mung’ou who is a celebrated radio news anchor, editor, and producer is also set to join the Cape Media Limited radio station.
Apart from being a Media personality, Mungo’u is a known author having written the Swahili novel ‘Mkakasi’.

He was a co-host for the Nuru ya Lugha show with Hassan Kauleni which was aired Saturdays 8 am-11 am on Radio Maisha.
Sources indicate that Geoffrey Mungo’u could be the radio’s head for a smooth workflow in the station.
Lynda Oriaso: Lynda Oriaso who was the former programmes controller at the Standard Group PLC penned down her contract at Radio Maisha due to unknown reasons.

Besides all, Oriaso is a celebrated radio personality with over 15 years of experience in broadcast journalism.
She invested more of her career in event management, training, research, programme production, scripting, and talent management.
Further, Lynda Oriaso has on the other hand worked for the Nation Media Group as a radio presenter.
At the newborn Radio 47, Oriaso is likely to retain the post she held at Radio Maisha.

Radio 47 Frequencies will cover Kenya’s main towns including Nairobi-103.0, Webuye-104.3, Kisumu-101.2, Mombasa-92.9, Lamu-89.5, Garsen-89.5, among others as it expands its Frequencies in all 47 counties.
