The mother, 25-year-old Margaret Wairimu, gave birth to four girls and one boy, but their tiny weight of 500 to 650 grams at birth indicated a low chance of survival. Despite the best efforts of the medical staff, the newborns could not be saved.

“I am so thankful to God for this chance because so many search for children day and night, while others resort to stealing or witchcraft,” said Simon in a statement to the press.
