The Jubilee Secretary General (SG) Jeremiah Kioni has been suspended from the party until further notice over the abuse of his position.
Declaring the suspension, the EALA Member of Parliament Kanini Kega has been appointed as the party’s acting Secretary General.
In addition, also suspended is David Murathe the Party’s vice chairman who has largely kept a low profile after the August 9, 2022, general election.
“We are in receipt of a petition from one of our members of the party accusing you of among other things; acting in a manner disloyal to the Jubilee Party, advancing positions that are contrary to the position of Jubilee party, demonstrating a lack of respect to the decision made by the Jubilee party and demonstrating lack of respect for the Jubilee party organs,” read a notification of a petition addressed to the four lawmakers.
Further, a few minutes after the lawmakers announced the suspension of SG Kioni, the party on its Twitter account indicated that the former Ndaragwa Member of Parliament had received petitions to commence disciplinary action against 4 Jubilee Members of Parliament.
