Months after President Ruto ditched the Lexus 570 in favor of the armored presidential Land Cruiser LC 200, his favorite SUV appears to be making a comeback.

President Ruto had been driving his Lexus for years, but when he took office in September 2022, he was required to upgrade to a vehicle that already had the necessary security features for a head of state.

His predecessor, Uhuru Kenyatta, was already used to riding in various Land Cruiser LC 200 models, but he was rarely seen in a Lexus SUV.

When he wasn’t in his Land Cruiser, Uhuru was chauffeured in a presidential Mercedes Benz sedan or his private G Wagon or Range Rover Vogue.

President Ruto’s return to what many consider his favorite car model underscores the Lexus’ superiority over its sibling, the LC 200.

Difference between the Toyota Land Cruiser LC 200 and Lexus 570

Toyota and Lexus are two distinct car brands owned by the same corporation.

While they have some similarities, they also have some significant differences.

The size of the two vehicles is one of the most noticeable differences between them. The Lexus LX 570 is larger, more stylish, and commanding.

It is also considered the more luxurious of the two, providing a smooth and quiet ride thanks to its advanced suspension system, which reduces road noise and vibrations.
