Jackton Odhiambo, a freelance photographer was arrested on the January 6, 2023 after he confessed to having killed Edwin Chiloba according to Citizen TV.
Edwin Chiloba’s body was taken to the mortuary after recovery, upon which a postmortem examination was conducted, and the results determined that Chiloba was strangled to death and his eyes were gouged out.
Currently, Jackton Odhiambo is being held in Langas police station in Eldoret Uasin Gishu County. It is speculated that Jackton Odhiambo and the late Edwin Chiloba were in a relationship.
However, the late chiloba allegedly walked out of their relationship, leading to a breakup between the two. This might have aroused feelings of betrayal towards Jackton Odhiambo, who allegedly killing Edwin Chiloba.

Jackton Odhiambo was assisted by two suspects who are yet to be found. Prior to his death Jackton and Edwin together with another unidentified man were in Tamasha Club in Eldoret to usher in the new year.
They had a good time taking photos and videos but upon returning home the neighbours said that they had some commotion then everything went silent.
It said that Edwin Chiloba was living with Jackton Odhiambo since the year 2022. According to the caretaker, Alex, Jackton Odhiambo called him using Edwin Chiloba’s phone telling him that he wants to vacate the house
“I received a call on Jan 4 from Chiloba’s mobile phone, but it was his friend Odhiambo on the line informing me that he was vacating the house,” Alex Nyamwrya said.
Usain Gishu DCI boss Mr. Kimulwa said that investigations are still ongoing and that they are yet to find the other two suspects
“The matter is under investigation and it is too early to release more details, It is a matter of time before we arrest the two suspects who were spotted by neighbours loading a metallic box into a vehicle that was later discovered to contain the body of the late Chiloba, Mr. Kimulwa said.
Currently, there are three more suspects who have been arrested one being the cousin to Jackton Odhiambo and a Taxi Driver who is suspected to have assisted in the disposal of the body.
